You're In My Thoughts Card

The holiday weekend is coming to an end. I had hoped to post more, but instead, I was enjoying time with my extended family! Though I was not blogging, you all were not far from my thoughts. I am so thankful for all my Stampin' Friends! I thought the sentiment on this card was perfect for my post tonight: "You're in my thoughts; you're in my heart".
I didn't have as much time as I had hoped to stamp this weekend, so the card I am sharing was created by Stampin' Up!. I just ordered the "I {heart} Hearts" stamp set and can't wait to CASE this card! Do you have this set yet? I know it's kind of early to think about Valentine's Day, but don't wait to get the I {heart} Hearts stamp set because it's 40% off right NOW until November 30th! Petite Pocket Mini Album

One of the giveaways at the Louisville Regional Seminar was a project kit to create this mini album using the Petite Pocket die. The sample they shared with us used a different stamp set, but that didn't stop me! I used what I had to finish the project. It's it cute!?

Cut and assemble three pockets and then cut 1/2" off one and 1" off another. I used the 2-1/2" Circle Punch to create a new notch in the front of the pocket. Stack the pockets and use the Crop-a-Dile to punch through all three and tie the ribbon.

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Creative Elements, Blushing Bride ink & cardstock, Soft Suede ink & cardstock, Confetti White cardstock, Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon. 1" Square Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Crop-a-Dile, Petite Pocket Die (Big Shot), Rhinestone Jewel Accents, Key, Silver Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip

Turtle & Co. Snail Birthday Card

Third times a charm! I finally got a good picture of this card to share with you! This was one of our Stamp Club projects last month. The card layout is CASEd from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. The inspiration was this Batty for You card on page 26. We used the new Simply Scored Tool to make the lolly...medallion...rosette...whatever you want to call it. The plaid Designer Series Paper is from the Domestic Goddess series. I've been calling this a "sleeper" DSP because I think people kind of write it off because of the domestic imagery, but the patterns on the other side are so bright and cheerful and relatively neutral for other themes. Check it out in my Online Store here.

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Turtle & Co., Pennant Parade (greeting), Calypso Coral marker & cardstock, Daffodil Delight marker, Pool Party marker & cardstock, Jet Black Staz-On Ink, Whisper White cardstock, Domestic Goddess Designer Series Paper, Simply Scored Tool, Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1/16" Hole Punch, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thank you to Jessica for stamping my make and takes at the Louisville Regional Seminar. Since my demonstration was during Make & Take time, I couldn't do them myself. The projects featured the "You Are Loved" stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I'm not much of a Valentine girl, but they showed us so many other ways to use this stamp set, that darn it, I had to buy it! It should arrive tomorrow! I wish I had more willpower!

Congratulations Card

This was the card they gave me after completing my Workshop Wow presentation at the Louisville Regional seminar. It's clean and simple -- just my style! I love the pop of color (Daffodil Delight) with the Basic Gray backgrounds. I love what was inside the card even more -- a $100 shopping spree!! Woo-hoo! Definitely worth the 2-1/2 hours on my feet! And even better still, I can spend it on the new Occasions Mini Catalog! If you're a demonstrator, make sure you check out the catalog on the demonstrator website. Pre-order starts December 1st and I can't wait to get my hands on all the awesome new products! Customers, you'll have to wait until January 4th to order...or sign up to be a demonstrator to get the goods early! (wink!)

Holly Berry Bouquet Notebook

My friend Mary McNeely made these beautiful notebooks for her downline who attended the Louisville Regional seminar and she made an extra for me! Thanks again Mary!!

A loop of Wild Wasabi striped ribbon under the Early Espresso cardstock binding is the perfect place to keep a pen. And Mary rolled up a small piece of coordinating Designer Paper to go inside the pen!

The bookmark is the true beauty of this project. Mary followed an example from the Stampin' Success demonstrator magazine and created a center piece with fabric, buttons, ribbon, and jewels. The back of the bookmark shows how it really works. A stretchy hair band connected with the loop of 1/8" taffeta ribbon gives it just enough stretch to reach around the cover of the notebook. Genius!

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Paper, Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Fabric, Wild Wasabi cardtock, Early Espresso cardstock, Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Wild Wasabi Striped Ribbon, Buttons, Pearl Jewel Accents, Antique Brads, Little Leaves Sizzlit (Big Shot), Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

Up, Up, & Away Top Note Card

I loved this layout so much that I used it again on this birthday card. (Click here to see Card #1 and here to see Card #2 using this same layout.) I'm trying to catch up on the birthday card backlog and just sent cards for birthdays in June, July, and August! I know it may seem pointless to send it so late, but the important thing is that I'm thinking of them, right? Hopefully they will feel the love even if it's a few months late!

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Up, Up, & Away; Real Red ink & cardstock; Basic Black ink; Whisper White cardstock; Tempting Turquoise ink & cardstock; Big Top Birthday DSP, Top Note die (Big Shot); 2-1/2" Circle Punch; 1/16" Hole Punch; Brights Brads; Stampin' Dimenisonals

Top Note Layout, Take 2

I just love this card layout. You may remember it from this card that I CASEd from my friend Laura Yates. The card is clean and simple, yet utilizes a nice combination of accessories and technique (Big Shot Top Note die, Spice Cake Designer Paper, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Reinkers & Baby Wipe Technique).

If you haven't tried the Baby Wipe technique before, it's easy! Just fold a baby wipe into quarters. Add drops of reinkers in multiple colors and then use the baby wipe as an ink pad and stamp your image. I did this with the bold leaf and then stamped the outline in Soft Suede over it.

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Gently Falling, Delightful Dozen, Cajun Craze reinker & cardstock, Soft Suede ink & cardstock, More Mustard reinker & cardstock, Pear Pizzazz reinker, Very Vanilla cardstock, Spice Cake Designer Series Paper, Top Note die (Big Shot), 2-1/2" Circle Punch

Gently Falling Collage Faux Tile Card

Edited 11-9-11 to add: To do the Faux Tile technique, start by scoring a grid on your cardstock. The Simply Scored Tool works great for this! Then, sponge ink over the cardstock to make the "grout" lines really pop. I used Crumb Cake ink. The last step is stamping your images.

Are you getting tired of this technique? Here's one more sample from my Faux Tile Workshop Wow display board from the Louisville Regional Seminar. I love this collage with the Gently Falling stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. (See it in my Online Store here.)

For the pleated crochet ribbon, I put a piece of Sticky Strip across the cardstock and then put the ribbon over it, pleating it as I went and pushing down to get it to stick good to the card. Easy Peasy!

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Gently Falling, Upsy Daisy (greeting), Texture Jumbo Wheel, More Mustard ink & cardstock, Always Artichoke ink & cardstock, Cajun Craze ink & cardstock, Crumb Cake ink, Soft Suede ink & cardtock, Very Vanilla cardstock, Simply Scored Tool, Crochet Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Antique Brads, Stamping Sponges

Petite Pennant Christmas Tree Card

I can't remember where I first saw the idea for this 3-D Petite Pennant Punch tree, but of course, I just had to make my own! I used the FTL157 sketch from the Clean & Simple Stamping blog for the design of this card and stuck with a traditional Christmas colors: Real Red & Wild Wasabi.

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Pennant Parade stamp set, Wild Wasabi ink & cardstock, Real Red cardstock, Soft Suede ink, Daffodil Delight ink, Whisper White cardstock, Scallop Edge Punch, Petite Pennant Punch, Polka Dot Embossing Folder (Big Shot), Gold Brads, 1/16" Hole Punch

Beau Chateau Faux Tile Horiztonal Center Step Card

Whew! That's a mouthful of a title! This is my favorite card that I made for my Faux Tile Workshop Wow display board at the Louisville Regional Seminar. I used the Elements of Style stamp set and the coordinating Beau Chateau DSP.

The flowers in the corners of the center piece are images cut out from the DSP. The bird was stamped and cut out. I added 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to all of the images to make it sparkle a little.

I love these Horizontal Center Step Cards. I can't stop making them! Click here for a detailed tutorial with measurements and a template to learn how to make your own.

This is one of my Faux Tile samples that uses a diagonal tile design. To help keep my cardstock straight on the Simply Scored Tool, I cut a 4" x 4" square from a piece of chipboard. (I used the piece that came with one of the Simply Sent Card Kits.) I cut the square in half diagonally and then used it up in the left corner of the scoring tool and held the cardstock against it. Since it's hard to use the ruler at the top with the chipboard in the way, I counted the grooves and scored every 4 grooves, which is equivalent to 1/2". Then just turn the paper and scored the other direction to create a grid.

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Elements of Style, Heard from the Heart, Pink Pirouette ink & cardstock, Marina Mist ink & cardstock, Crumb Cake ink, Whisper White cardstock, Soft Suede ink, Beau Chateau DSP, Dazzling Diamonds, 2-Way Glue, Simply Scored Tool, Stamping Sponges, Pearl Jewel Accents

Can you believe that I forgot to take a picture of my Workshop Wow display board at the Louisville regional seminar!? D'oh! If anyone who went has one of the whole board, please send it my way!

Here's another card I made up for the display. I did a diagonal tile for this background piece of Cherry Cobbler. Watch for a tip on that tomorrow with my favorite display card!

Stampin' Up! Supplies: Pines & Poinsettias, Contempo Christmas (greeting), Crumb Cake cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Cherry Cobbler ink/marker & cardstock, Garden Green marker & cardstock, Early Espresso marker, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle, 1/16" Hole Punch, Simply Scored Tool, Stampin' Sponges, Stampin' Dimensionals
